Who we are

We are the youth section of the Community of Democratic Choice (CDC).

For their meeting in Vilnius, Lithuania the head of states of the CDC  added an intellectuals' forum, a NGO forum and a youth forum to their summit. The youth forum was composed by 27 young Europeans from 13 countries. In its resolution it declared the foundation of the "Youth Forum of Europe's New Democracies". Nine month after the meeting active people from the forum met in Tallinn, Estonia to institutionalize the forum and give it legal basis. By this the forum changed its name to "CDC Youth Forum" to stress out the ties to the Community of Democratic Choice. It is now a legal international organisation registered in Riga, Latvia.

The CDC Youth Forum is made up of an Assembly and a Board. The Assembly consists of interested young people that support and take part in the activities of the forum. The co-ordination of the forum is made by the Board which is elected by the Assembly, from members within the Assembly. The Board is assisted by an Advisory Board composed by political supporters. The co-ordination for the activities within a country is assigned to its Country Co-ordinator.
